Webprobably make the argument for coding it as CPT 28292 (correction, hallux valgus [bunion], with or without sesamoidectomy; Keller, McBride or Mayo type procedure) since modifying the McBride leaves you with a modified Silver bunionectomy (it is one of the reasons I feel that CPT 28290 as a code should be eliminated as redundant).
